Meet the Doctors
Dr. Lavinia Wu received her B.A. from University of Pennsylvania, School of Arts and Sciences in 1997, majoring in Biological Basis of Behavior with a focus on Neurobiology. She received her Dental Degree at University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 2001. She completed the Christiana Care Dental Residency Program at Wilmington Hospital in 2002. She has been working at Progressive Dental Arts since 2002.
One of her favorite hobbies is playing music. She enjoys playing classical and jazz piano. She has also played the flute, saxophone, and guitar also. In her spare time, she also enjoys clay figure sculpting, ballroom dancing, scuba diving, and traveling.
Dr. Hans Liu spent the first few years of his childhood in Taiwan and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He grew up and completed a majority of his schooling in New York City. He comes from a family deeply rooted in the health professions. His sister and brother-in-law are general dentists, and his brother is an endodontist. All practice in the state of Delaware.
Dr. Liu received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Columbia University in 1996. He received his Masters degree in biology from Rutgers University in 1997. Dr. Liu went on to complete his doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Sugery in 2003 and completed his residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Liu believes the importance of breaking down the barriers that often exist between the patient and the doctor. He believes in creating an anxiety-free office atmosphere conducive to educating and improving patients’ oral health. In addition, Dr. Liu is a firm believer in dental continuing education, allowing him to provide various cutting edge multi-disciplinary dental procedures to his patients. Dr. Liu is an avid sports fan.
Dr. Eum grew up in New York City and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Management Systems at Columbia University. He became a Doctor of Dental Surgery upon graduating from New York University College of Dentistry and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Eum completed his residency with the Christiana Care Health System in Delaware, and in recent years, served on the faculty of their implant dentistry department.
Dr. Theresa Tran graduated from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County with a B.A. in Biology and Psychology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and then moved to Delaware to complete a residency at Christiana Care Health Care Systems. Dr. Tran is committed to being a lifelong student with the goal of providing excellent patient care and quality dentistry as the profession evolves. Her passion lies in giving back to the community and treating every person with compassion and respect.
Outside of the office, she enjoys soaking up the sun, learning golf, tending to her indoor plants, and cooking with her fiance.
Dr. Vinh Nguyen was raised in Philadelphia, where he completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University and then went onto getting his dental degree at LECOM Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Upon the completion of dental school, he proceeded to accept a position as a dental resident at Christiana Care Health system here in Delaware. Dr. Nguyen is committed to helping patients achieve their best smiles and healthy teeth in an environment where they feel comfortable and safe. His professional and friendly attitude play an integral part to the dental team where he helps create a culture that is welcoming and positive to everyone within the practice.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Nguyen enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, and exploring the ever-growing list of restaurants in the area; he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Dr. Alan Nguyen enrolled at Temple University and earned a degree in Pharmacy in 1999. He later went back to school and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Doctor of Medicinal Dentistry. He is an expert in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. His approach to dentistry is to provide a calm and friendly atmosphere to ease all dental anxieties. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Dental Association, Delaware State Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Rodney Kryzhanovskiy earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. He went on to Pursue his Doctorate at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Early on, Dr. Rodney learned the value of surrounding himself with great mentors to achieve excellence. He continues to annually log hundreds of hours in continuing education under some of the greatest influential leaders in dentistry, to bring the best for his patients.
He is passionate about comprehensive dentistry including Invisalign, Digital Smile Design, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, full mouth occlusal reconstruction, biomimetic restorative protocols, systemic and genetic periodontal diagnostics and treatments, bone preservation dental implant restorations, and leading preventative dentistry methods.
Dr. Rodney has been affiliated with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Clear Aligners, The American Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.
On a personal level, Dr. Rodney enjoys spending time with his wife Dr. Meghan (a local Primary Care Physician), their three children, and their pet rescue terrier. He enjoys travel, plant husbandry, reading, chess, philosophy, calisthenics, basketball, and training in jiu-jitsu and combat sports.
